    Wyoming property tax benefits

Wyoming's 2026 veteran exemption removes $6,000 of assessed value, not $6,000 from the tax bill. It requires three years of state residency and qualifying wartime/medal service or certified compensable service-connected disability. Apply through the county assessor and confirm eligibility annually. The regular May real-property deadline has passed; ask about any narrow exception or the next cycle. Vehicle-fee use is an alternative, not a second full allowance.

    Wyoming education benefits

Qualifying overseas-combat/Vietnam veterans and survivors can request tuition-only assistance at UW or Wyoming community colleges, generally eight semesters within eight academic years. Residency, service, successive-education and school approval rules apply; fees are not covered.
