Arkansas property tax benefits
2026 review: qualifying 100% permanent-and-total service-connected disability or qualifying VA special monthly compensation for limb loss/loss of use or blindness can exempt the homestead and personal property. Apply to the county collector. Act 876 requires the VA eligibility letter once, not annually; report eligibility/property changes and submit a new letter for a new homestead.
Arkansas education benefits
Arkansas offers separate Heroes family scholarships, Guard tuition assistance and military in-state tuition classification. Eligibility, aid offsets, term applications and school approval apply; these are not blanket free college for every veteran.
Arkansas recreation benefits
September 2026 review: Arkansas veteran lifetime licenses require one year of residency and published VA criteria. Options include $1.50 hunting or fishing and $3 combination for 100% permanent-and-total service-connected disability, or the separate $52.50 VLL2 package at 70%+ or 50%+ with a Purple Heart. Permits and camping-discount approval remain separate.
