    Pennsylvania property tax benefits

September 2026 review: qualifying veterans, including the listed TDIU path, may receive principal-home real-estate tax exemption after service, ownership and financial-need review. The published $114,637 presumptive-need level is not an absolute income cap; documented expenses can establish need above it. Qualifying disability benefit payments are excluded from program income. Start with your County Director of Veterans Affairs; approval and effective dates are not automatic.

    Pennsylvania education benefits

Two different programs: DMVA's need-based EGP offers eligible wartime veterans' children up to $500 per term; PHEAA's PEGP covers remaining eligible public-college costs for qualifying line-of-duty survivors. Age, residence, school and application rules differ.

    Pennsylvania recreation benefits

Qualifying resident veterans receive free fishing licensing at 100% service-connected disability or a $2.97 annual license at 60-99%. Hunting/furtaker eligibility has separate service, disability and renewal rules; fishing eligibility does not automatically qualify you. DCNR offers a requested $4.50 base-campsite disability discount, not free camping.
