    Registration, parking, and toll notes

No group/administrative fees for the plate — but you still pay standard registration fees and vehicle property tax. Parking is baked into the eligibility itself (since the qualifying condition already meets the mobility test).

No dedicated disabled-veteran toll program confirmed in Indiana.

    Indiana property tax benefits

For 2026 assessments payable in 2027, qualified totally disabled veterans may deduct 100% of their principal residence assessed value; a new filing is required. Separate $350 wartime/10% service-connected and $250 age-62/10% disability credits have their own criteria. General relief does not scale with every disability percentage. Apply to the county auditor by January 15, 2027.

    Indiana education benefits

Indiana tuition-and-fee exemption has separate eligible-child and veteran Purple Heart routes. A qualifying child's parent can have 0-100% service-connected disability; covered amounts depend on category, initial-service date and school. Student ScholarTrack approval, annual FAFSA and school processing are required.

    Indiana recreation benefits

Qualifying Indiana disabled veterans can buy a $2.75 annual or $27.50 ten-season small-game/fishing DAV license. Deer, turkey and stamps are separate; 100% is not an automatic free-license category. Confirm conflicting form/submission instructions with DNR. The $25 DHV park entrance pass is a separate purchase, not free camping.
