    Registration, parking, and toll notes

$10 admin fee for the plate. The "DAV-HP" variant includes the ISA symbol built in — parking without a separate placard. Separately, veterans with a VA-funded adapted vehicle get a registration fee exemption (one vehicle).

No dedicated disabled-veteran toll program confirmed in Delaware.

    Delaware property tax benefits

2026 review: qualifying 100% permanent-and-total compensation, including individual unemployability, can cover non-vocational school district tax only, not all property taxes. Three consecutive years of Delaware domicile and county approval are required. File DVP-TAX with the county by April 30; no retroactive credit. The 2026 deadline has passed.

    Delaware education benefits

Delaware Guard undergraduate tuition is now direct-paid; graduate reimbursement remains funding-dependent. A separate qualifying-child scholarship has residency, age and school-priority rules. Confirm conflicting Guard deadlines before classes start.

    Delaware recreation benefits

September 2026 review: honorably discharged veterans with 60%+ service-connected disability can apply to DNREC for a no-charge hunting/trapping/fishing exemption. Obtain approval and required FIN/LEN credentials before use. Wildlife-area access and discounted state-park passes have separate rules.
